Import errors with Movie Maker

I make small movies with my Sony still digital camera and they import fine
into WMM.
I recently transferred a movie from my Sony mini-DV camera to my Dell ("best
quakity" about 350 meg) using Roxio, and every time I try to import it into
WMM it crashes (encounters a error).

Help?

Maybe it's an an issue with the format of the
