Of course and if you want to use the real client you just have to start it multiple times
with either Messenger Plus (www.msgplus.net) or patches like A-Patch (www.a-patch.tk).

Just to add, the patches are unofficial and not recommended by Microsoft (but generally don't
cause any problems).
