XP POWER DOWN IS VERY SLOW

Hello everybody,

During shut down of XP, the blank blue screen just before
the final power shut down, is displayed for an
unreasonably long time - up to 1 minute. No problems at
power up. Any suggestions? Please respond by E-mail.
