This weekend I had to reinstall Windows XP from my four year-old system
disks. I previously removed Messenger, but it was so long ago, I have no
idea how I did it. Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Thanks

I use "XPAntispy" to uninstall Messenger and change a few settings in XP.
Can be done without "XPAntispy" but is easier this way.
It's freeware.

Greetings,

Windows Messenger can be removed by clicking the Start button, then click Run and type in
(copy-paste if you like):
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK.
Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions and screenshots, go to,
