As of recent when ever I go in to a directory with any type of movie file in
the folder. With in a couple of seconds windows explorer usually pops up a
message saying windows explorer has encounter an error and will be closed.
Usually a DEP error. Then of course closes the explorer window.
I have read several posts saying it has something to do with windows and how
the movie file might have metadata which cannot be read. Also reading that
some say it's the thumbnail preview function that has something to do with
it. Others say its some codecs like xvid or a corrupted quartz.dll for
directshow.
The movie file plays fine...if your quick enough before selcetion box closes.
Anyone know the real casue of this and How do I fix this from closing down
explorer?
