I am not using Windows XP right now, but will probably get a laptop
later this year running XP Home Edition. In the meantime, I'm trying to
learn more about this operating system. Sony has a website with several
Windows XP tutorials. These are brief, silent videos dealing with simple
tasks. One of them is called "How To Create A New User." The steps
outlined in that particular tutorial seem overly complicated to me. I would
think all you need to is go to Control Panel, click User Accounts, click
Create a new account and answer a few configuration questions. Right?

Hi! View the tutorial at that site on "How to Turn the Guest Account On Off"
to see how the Windows XP Home interface provides user account options.
Although the tutorial doesn't go through the procedure, you'll see in it the
option to create a new user -- different method than you would use in XP
Professional, which is what the "How to Create New User" tutorial appears to
use.
