Code 19 when trying to install my camcorder to use with i.Link

For some odd reason, when I plug my Panasonic Mini DV camcorder into my
computer through the i.Link firewire, I hear the beep, but it doesn't seem to
recognize the camcorder and when I try to install the driver, I get a Code 19
error saying there is a problem in the registry. I used to always plug this
camcorder into this computer and transfer videos with various programs, but
now it does not seem to work at all. Please help.

What driver are you trying to install? Firewire driver is part of windows so
shouldn't need re-installing.
