can't print double sided since I installed XP

Since I upgraded to XP the print propertes do not give an
option to print double sided. I have installed another
print driver but that did not seem to help.

You didn't state the kind of printer you have.

Two-sided printing is not supported by Hewlett-Packard in Windows XP.

There is a workaround for my printer, and possibly yours, at
