Hi. Recently my WMP would not play any of my AVIs. It keeps saying it needs
to close down and it has to send an error report. Everytime there are two
files from DOCUME~1 thats shows up in the error report:44fc_appcompat and two
others. I ran Cleanup (once in safe mode) and it doesn't work.
Help would be greatly appreciated

Probably a case of far too many codecs.
In Control Panel, Admin Tools, Event Viewer, what does it say the problem
actually is?

I did what you said and thought the problem lied in faultrep.dll. I deleted
it, and now Windows Explorer isn't even playing when i get to videos.
