Service Pack 1 update

Was installing SP1 update - computer rebooted - won't run
now. Get the XP splash screen, goes black then momentarily
a blue screen comes and goes. Computer restarts. HELP!!!!!

Joel;
Reboot, tapping F8 once a second.
Choose Safe Mode at the menu, then try System Restore to before
problem started.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Otherwise reboot tapping F8 again.
Choose "Last known good configuration" at the menu.

If those fail, perform a Repair Installation:

Windows Updates will need to be reinstalled.
Install Service Pack first and by itself.
Then install ALL Critical Updates no more than 4 at a time,

Disconnect the network/modem cable before starting repair and do NOT
reconnect the cable until repair is completed and firewall is
installed/enabled.
