Messenger signs in and out

We have Windows Messenger 5.1 installed on the workstations on our network
using MS .Net accounts. Recently they started to automatically sign out and
sign in at random intervals approx. every 5 minutes. What could be causing
this to occur? Is it likely a problem on our network or a problem on the
Messenger network?

We are experiencing the same problems with messenger 5.1 and signing
into .Net. Does this appear to be a client or .Net service issue?

Have same problem with 4.7. Started several months ago, then cleared
up, and is now
back at it again. Sometimes it signs itself back in, but not often.
Has no connection to firewall, but does seem to depend on active PC
use. Before this client worked fine for years so I'd say it is the
folks at M$
