Hi,
I have a Sony notebook that came with winME and a Toshiba dvd player.
Upgrade to xp pro and cannot play dvd's. I get the message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD
decoder is not installed on your computer."

Checked ms site and toshiba and they have nothing to fix the problem.
They know the problem is real.

Can somebody tell me if there is software or a decoder that will
restore the dvd?

thank's
Rich
