PC freezing

I have a random freezing problem w/ xp home edition
That is everything locks up And I have to reboot. Doesn't
seem to matter what I'm doing. Mostly it happens when I
leave the computer on unattended. Anyone have any ideas.
a bios update maybe?

Doug, have you checked all the fans. Make sure they are working. Could be
overheating.
