hibernation

[charlie bear wants to hibernate!! help!]

i have recently invested in a toshiba satellite and after only 3weeks have
noticed that my settings and option for hibernation has disappeared and
ghosted out on the option of shuting down does anyone know how to fix this
problem or why this may of happened?
