When I first boot the machine everything seems to run
fine. After the machine has been on a couple of hours, it
begins to take minutes (literally 120+ seconds!) for new
applications to come up. If I shut down the machine, the
applications will return to popping up within seconds.
Obviously, something is grabbing a hold of the memory and
not letting go - how do I fix this?

Fans are working. Box appears to be clean - no debris.
Another "symptom": multiple users access the PC. For one
of the users, it takes 3 minutes to "Load personal
settings". Any ideas what personal settings are taking so
much time to load? Any way to find out?
