speakers not working

my speakers will not work .Ichecked the system and itsays that there are no
drivers
but I thought that they would havebeen supplied in the xp professional .
They were working but now are not there

1. Open XP's "Help and Support Center".
2. In the Search box type: TROUBLESHOOTER , and hit enter.
3. Click on "Sound Troubleshooter".
