I ran an acer d2d and my XP partition is no longer alloacted to c: - using a
proprietary scanner I see it is there as 1: but I cannot access it. C: is now
a FAT16 DOS partition. I would like to re-allocate the 1: back to being c:.
Are there any MS tools for this that I can load from a floppy disk?

What is an Acer d2d? Is this some sort of Disk Recovery
operation/installer?
Just checked on Google ... this IS a Disk Recovery partition, that is
supposed to be Hidden.
By installing this ... it creates a FAT16 DOS partition and moved C: to D:

You might try marking the partition as Hidden ... or better yet ... check on
Google for instructions on how to do this correctly in order to have both.

Is this a laptop? YOu don't say.

Acer website explains how to remove this.
