My computer has been lagging. Oftentimes there is a delay...and there are
delays in all applications. I cannot narrow things down to when and under
what circumstances this occurs.

I have a cable connection so my connection to the Internet is reliable and
rapid.

I had many e-mail messages "waiting" in Outlook, but I eliminated many of
them. I still have the delays, even after rebooting my PC.

How can I make my PC work faster?

I have WinXP Pro with SP2.

Thank you,

Barry Karas

How much RAM memory?Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task
Manager and click the Performance Tab. What is the Total,
the Commit Charge and the Peak?

What is your CPU processor speed? Right click on your My
Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties to get
this information and the amount of RAM memory.

How large is your hard disk and how much free disk space? In
Windows Explorer right click on your C drive and select
Properties. Is the hard disk formatted as fat32 or NTFS?

Do you have any McAfee or Norton products installed? If yes
which?

Hope this helps.
