I have uninstalled ane reinstalled a thousand times. There seems to be
folders on my computer for them, but they don't work. Whenever I go to a web
page that requires you to have it, it wants me to download it. I don't get
it. It's like the computer is not allowing the program to work. Any

Open Internet Options, General tab, click the Settings button, click
View Objects, look for the "Shockwave Flash Object". Right-click it,
click Update and see if that helps with the install.

I would like to try the info you got from Adobe.

I have a similar problem. When I try to open links in YouTube I get the
message that I don't have the latest Flash Player or Java is turned off. It
has a download link which I have used over and over. It tells me the program
is downloaded and installed and working. I reboot even though it doesn't say
to do so. When I access YouTube I get the same message. I have no idea of
where the download goes. I search for Flash Player and it isn't even listed.
I have no idea of how to see if Java is on or off.

FOR ANYONE WHO CAN HELP:

When I switch to Mozilla, YouTube plays but I'm not comfortable with FireFox.
I want to make IE7 my default email but Mozilla has taken over and I can't
find how to change it to IE.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE forward the instruction to
I've been battling this problem for a few weeks - I too have used the Adobe
uninstall/install, but the install doesn't not complete - Adobe tells me it's
my activeX control (though shockwave installed just fine - flash is another
issue)
