Excessive use of memory

With 256 Mbs of RAM I would expect to have at least half
available at startup, but I am only running about 78 Mbs
availability. Zone Alarm Pro, Volume control, and Clock
sync are the only ones showing as running on the Taskbar.
Where is it going?

Unused RAM is wasted RAM! Windows uses most all of whatever you can throw at
it. If it is needed, windows will release it for use when necessary.
