Can not find any settings to make my tv show movies i play from my pc to
fullscreen format. All it does is show a black line on each side of the
screen an the picture between, sort of streched out so people looks really
tall:-) and long faces..

Now as soon as i start any player to show the video it goes to that mode on
my tv, and there is no settings on the tv that change those settings, if i
set it to 4:3 it adds 2 more lines on the sides so i have it to panoramic.

I have no clue what to do now....

The issue is Aspect Ratio......width
in relation to height. Have a look at
the following articles:

Aspect ratio
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4:3

Home Theater Forum

To fill your screen (no black bars)...one
of three things must happen.

1) The video must be the same aspect
ratio as the TV screen.

2) The video must be cropped to fit the
TV screen.

3) The video must be stretched to fit the
TV screen...which of course would result
in distortion.

Decent players will allow you to scale the source picture
properly.

You didn't mention which player you're using. You might try VLC
Media Player, it is free. Right click on the player's screen
and choose either the proper aspect ratio or the proper crop
size. I'm pretty sure you can do similarly with PowerDVD and
WinDVD, but I rarely use them.
