I am having the same issues regarding my firewire. My Sony DCR-PC9 is not
recognised since installing xp SP2.

I get and message stating "The file '61883.sys' on windows xp Home edition
servies pack2 CD is needed. Type the path where the file is located and then
click ok."

Another small window pops up that reads " Found new hardware. 61883 Class
Bus Device"

Then another window states there was a problem installing the new hardware
and that it may not work properly.

Any help on this would be appreciated. I have scoured this website for
help, i have reinstalled drivers from Sony website. HELP!

Regards,
Vegemite!
