Xp restarts while you are in the middle of working on it.

I have an XP Pro. machine that has just
started "restarting" itself during working hours. No
error messages; it just restarts. What do I need to look
at first.

First stop the restarting so you can possibly get a handle
on the cause.

Go to Start | Control Panel | System. Click on the Advanced tab,
then in the 'Startup and Recovery area,' click the Settings button.
UNCHECK the box that says 'Automatically restart.
