hpboid.exe Application Error

This message pops up at irregular intervals with the
following details:"The instruction at "0x7474ca0c"
referenced memory at "0x00650004.The memory could not be
"read." Click OK to terminate the program.

Clicking on the button does nothing. I have to restart.
hpboid.exe is found in \windows\system32.
Can anyone help with what this is all about and how to fix it?

It's a Hewlett-Packard printer driver.
