I am having problems with Web based applications 'encountering a problem and
needing to close'. This appears to be random but so far affects IE and
Napster (in certain screens). The error log gives the following information:-

'Windows cannot access the file C:\windows\system32\msxml3.dll'.
Faulting module msxml3.dll,version 8.70.1113.0, fault address 0x000a860a
Additional Data Error Value: C000009C
disk type: 3

I tried to access the Windows update website this evening (which closed) and
recorded the following in the error log:

31 October 2006 Service Control Manager Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting
for the LiveUpdate service to connect.
31 October 2006 Service Control Manager The LiveUpdate service failed to
start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or
control request in a timely fashion.
31 October 2006 DCOM DCOM got error "%1053" attempting to start the service
LiveUpdate with arguments "" in order to run the server:

I am running windowsXP with SP2. I have recently downloaded IE7 but the
problem was also happening in IE6. I have tried updating the XML Parser to
the latest version as suggested by Trevor in another newsgroup but this did
not work.

Any help / suggestions in easy to follow
language would be gratefully received.
