Windows Explorer only works once. After I close it, if I want to launch it
again I have to ctrl+alt+del, sort the listings of operating programs
alphabetically and look for explorer.exe. There is always 2. One is the
desktop and the other is windows explorer. Windows explorer is usually the
smaller one. I click to cancel the process, then when I click on the explorer
icon it starts up properly. This started a few months ago after a Microsoft
'update'. Is there any way I can get this to run properly again?

Thanks
Frank

Do you mean Explorer or Internet Explorer? The latter would show up
as iexplore.exe in the task list. Explorer.exe really is the desktop.

No, not internet explorer, windows explorer. You know, that allows you to see
all your folders and files and a tree structure.
