Go to run,type:cmd
At the curser type:Sfc /Scannow
Then enter,on keyboard,then install xp cd,exit the info.
page,when the bar graph is thru,remove cd,type:
CHKDSK C: /F
Agree to restart,type:EXIT
If still not quite right,boot from cd,recovery,just hit
enter if asked for password,at recovery type:CHKDSK C: /R
Restart computer
