Hi,

As soon as I have some media files in a directory I can no longer sort files
by modification date - I tried changing the properties of the folder to
'data' type but the option is still missing - any way I can get it back?

Cheers

From the View menu of a folder, click "Choose Details". Select the columns
you want.

In Details View, press Ctrl/+ and the missing column might appear.
There's also an option to click View, Arrange Icons by. Or, right-click
the top bar, where Name, Size, Type and "Date Modified" should be, click
"Date Modified" to add it to the list of columns.
