View Full Version : Window XP restarting randomly with a Blue Screen.

November 1st 06, 05:14 PM
Hi,

I am experiencing a random restart of my Windows XP machine with a Blue
Screen for a couple days.

The eventviewer has the following logs on the last two restarts
1. The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was:
0x10000050 (0xe3b37000, 0x00000000, 0x80529f47, 0x00000001). A dump was
saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini110106-02.dmp.
2. The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was:
0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0xbae6e6cd, 0xb2ff8cac, 0x00000000). A dump was
saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini110106-01.dmp.

I can pass on the dump files also if required.

System Config:
Windows XP Professional
Version:2002
SP 2

Recently I installed eTrust Internet Security Suite and later
uninstalled the same. Also I was generating some reports using XL
which almost clogged my CPU and at times it even broke and I had to
restart my machine. Later after this I started experiencing this
problem.

This problem is really annoying me. Any help on this will be
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Sivaraj

I would suggest running reg mechanic http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/
there could be a reminent registery entry causing the blue screen. This
should be ran anytime you uninstall software. 0x10000050 errors are also
sometimes linked to memory issues.

Thanks Will and John for the quick response.

Will, the link which you provided for the error codes was very useful,
however, according to the link I dont have any malwares or any driver
issues. I have run the tests provided for the error codes and
everything failed. I even tried repairing my XP Service Pack. Still
the problem persists.

John I am already using registry-mechanic and used to do a clean up as
and when needed. I have also did the same again and still the problem
persists.

Kindly suggest be an alternative method to fix up this issue. Thanks
in advance.

Regards,
Sivaraj
