View Full Version : XP Windows Installer

I am running XP on a HP machine, and I have been told by
the support at Norton Antivirus to reinstall Windows
Installer. However, they also said in order to do so,
because I am running XP, I need to contact Microsoft to
get a copy of the program. Apparently those downloads
available on the Microsoft site are not meant for XP. So I
tried contacting Microsoft through their online support,
but was unable to do so due to the fact that they require
me to have Passport Account in order to reach them, and
even then I may be charged a fee. I do not want a Passport
Account, and I especially do not want to be charged a fee.
Is there a better way to go about this?
