Windows XP Home Edition Slow Shut Down

[Carpenter - \(NADC\)]

My systems starts up fairly fast but takes the longest time to shut down.
Any Suggestions?

Do you have 'privacy' software installed which deletes and/or shreds files
on shutdown?
