Administrator gone

[Guy Dillen]

When giving another user Administrator priviliges suddenly my Administrator
disappears from the user list for login.

Is this normal?

Greetings --

Once any additional user accounts have been created, the
Administrator account will no longer be displayed on the Welcome
Screen. This is a default security feature that may, or may not, be
needed in your specific situation. By design, the only way to log
into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to reboot into Safe
Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome
Screen will produce the standard login dialog box.

Oh yes one more question:

I suppose when i need to add different groups to a user (e.g. Administrator,
VS Debugger, ..) i have to do this the same way as on W2K?

It's pretty much the same, yes. Right-click My Computer > Manage
> Users and Groups.
