Summary property for avi files

My system stopped displaying property summary of AVI files. When I'm
trying to get information of property summary
for AVI files I'm getting this message: Summary properties are
unavailable for the selected source.
How can I fix it? Thanks in advance

Some flavors of .AVI files have never been summarizable
this way - their properties are not exposed in a way that the
shell can access. Have you tried several different types?

Or did these files you're checking used to work and now don't?

Yes all files I checked used to work.

System Restore is your friend.

Probably another not-well-tested Windows Update
or WMP 11 or IE7.
