mic

My mic stopped all of a sudden. I can hear people on the yahoo messenger or
skype but they can't. I changed the mic but still I have the same problem. It
is external mic. I have microsoft office XP. I don't have speech
configuration. On the control pannel I checked the tab of mic it is ticked as
input but it is off. Could u please advise me what to do. Thanks

Check if the mic volume is not muted...
