Dear members,
I bought a DVD & CD burner (writer) today and rightly fixed it to my
computer, it came with a CD ROM, after that I went to my computer to see if
it is installed, to my surprise it is not, I placed the CD in the CD driveE,
which is not working, it is corrupt, now what should I do to install it,
should I buy a new CD drive just to install it, as it will not be needed
after that as I can use the the newly bought DVD & CD burner, please advise.

Check the jumpers on the back of the CD drives.. if they are on the same IDE
cable, the cd drive on the end of the IDE cable should have the jumper set
for 'master' or 'MA', and the other CD drive should have its jumper set to
'slave' or 'SLA'..
