View Full Version : Windows XP Update no longer working
Donald
December 13th 03, 12:54 AM
When I click on Windows update, the page that appears
informs me that windows update site has been updated and
to click on "Update Now" to get the new version of the
update software. When I do that, the download occurs
(but doesn't seem to officially finish) and the same page
appears no matter how many times I attempt the
procedure. The result is that I cannot get the windows
update software change and also can no longer scan for
updates and get any windows updates, including the new
security patches. Is this a general problem? Help.

Thanks for the help Nicholas. Any idea what caused this
glitch?

Hi Again Nicholas:
I can't get past your step 2. I cannot install latest
Windows update controls manually. This is exactly my
problem, as described in my original post. The same page
simply keeps reappearing when I click on "Update Now", no
matter how many times I try.
I appreciate your help.
Regards. Don.
