Automatic Updates problem

Hi,
can anyone please help me fix my Automatic Updates function?
An error message appears when I try to open it saying....
"An
exception occured while trying to run shell32 dll, control_RunDLL
C\Windows\System32\wuaucpl, Automatic Udates".
