View Full Version : Newbie: assign tags to AVI files?

My wife is working with over 500GB of uncompressed AVI files ranging from a
few seconds to a few minutes each. She'd like to assign some sort of tags to
each clip that are searchable, so that she can enter a search term and have
all relevant clips displayed- kind of like when you search for clipart
within a MS Office program.

Is it possible to assign tags to AVI clips, and if so, where can I learn
more about how to do so? I'll probably end up writing a program to manage
the process for her, but I've never worked with video before so I don't know
where to start learning about this- I'm sure it is a problem that others
have come across (and solved) before.

Thanks for any advice or links to information.
