View Full Version : How do I set Windows Media Player to be my default player?

I downloaded Real Player upgrade, a secondary player, and
now its taken over as the default player. I want to reset
Windows Media Player as my default player. NO INFO
AVAILABLE IN HELP GUIDES....HELP!!!

Right-click anywhere on the MP screen. Options. File types. Apply and
okay your way out.

As Maureen says, or...
Use the new tool for this in Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access and
Defaults.

go to the conrol panel and go to Add/Remove Programs then on the tabs go to
set programs access and defaults find default Media Player and choose
Windows Media player

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types/Audio
CD/Advanced/Edit/Application used: "C:\Program Files\Windows Media
Player\wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:3 /device:AudioCD "%L"
