When going to Hotmail from Live messenger screws up my IE window size

I have an annoying problem. When signing into windows live messenger,
if I get a pop up saying I have a new hotmail email & i click it, IE
loads my hotmail inbox in a small window. The problem is if I dont
maximize the window before closing it, everytime I open IE I get a
small window.

Am I alone or does everyone have the same prob?

It's only a minor issue...but an irritating one.

Suggestions appreciated.
