why not get rid of the headache....
unfortunately, it still has bugs and there
are some sites that it should not be used
as of yet... (it was either my bank
or dsl account people who told
me to use foxfire for them at this time)

uninstalling it via add/remove programs
is one way.

if you want tab browsing, avant browser is
pretty good....

Don't know if this will help or not but try opening Add/Remove Programs
in Control Panel and select IE 7 to remove. That should remove IE 7
and re-install IE 6. Once you've checked out IE 6 and know it's
working OK, try re-installing IE 7.

As Both Ben and David mentioned uninstall IE7 and when your system patched
and updated try to install IE7.
