After copying everything from an old computer [that admittedly already had
duplicate files on it], files from my office CPU and a bunch of photo CD’s
laying around, I know I have multiple copies of the same files throughout my
new computer.

Does XP or other utility have the ability to search and identify duplicate
files?

Can it list; date created, date modified, size, location….accurately verify
they are the same file? I guess, delete the duplicates while it’s at it?

Thanks in advance, Matt

There's a very handy free app here that does a great job at.
http://dff.nazrashid.com/
It'll compare contents, dates, contents and dates, by extension, name, ext
+ name, etc etc; lots of variations and capability. Oneof the few free apps
I felt I had to make a donation to.
