View Full Version : Audio one way, no audio the other

I'm getting audio going from a Dell 4500 desktop to a R-40 Thinkpad laptop,
but not the other way around (going through a D-Link DI-614+ router).
Microsoft KB says it might be because of a driver incompatibility with my
Dell 4500 network adapter, but of course the link they give to the updated
driver doesn't lead to the version they describe and I can't find it on
microsoft.com by searching. I tried downloading and installing the
(hopefully) latest drivers for my network adapter from intel.com, but that
hasn't fixed the problem.

Any ideas on what I could try doing next?

Sorry, a clarification: all this is happening on my LAN which uses a D-Link
DI-614+ router to bridge a wireless connection from my laptop to an ethernet
wired connection to my desktop. I'm not going outside my LAN to the internet
through my router.
