I am not sure if this is the place that I will get an answer to my problems
or not?
I am having two problems with messenger one is it is freezing a whole lot
lately, which causes me to shut everything down and restart again. The other
is that i am having trouble adding new contacts, actually I can add them but
when I open the message box it says beside their names to "click here to add
him or her now". I am not able to do this? I cannot see when any of my new
contacts are online? They seem to be able to see me from their end though and
know when I am online or not but I cannot add them properly? Am I doing
something wrong as msn has recently changed, however, it is pretty simple or
one would think as you just go to the top and click on add a new contact, put
in email address and it should just do it? If I am the only one having
trouble then should I remove messenger and reinstall would this fix the
problem? If so would I lose all of my contacts if I did so? I sure hope that
I have explained my problem well enough and that someone may be able to help
me, thank you very much for your time :-)

I too have a freeze problem with messenger. Returning to my MSN homepage,
playing on MSN gaming zone, or just surfing. The messenger kicks off and
sometimes returns on its own or I have to reopen it, or everything freezes
and I have to restart the computer. I "repaired" messenger twice.
