A friend wants to copy some language study CD's to a iPod type device.
The device indicates it is compatible with "open MP3" and MS Media sound
files. I comes with a USB connector.
I is my guess that it will be possible to copy the CD data to the player
as either a MP3 file or a MS media sound file and play them. It would be
nice to be able to copy them directly from the CD in the Computer CD player,
but I can go CD - audio - computer audio-in if needed.
Do I have this right?
Does anyone have nay idea how much time might be recorded on a 5 gig
memory using the different file types and compressions?
Do I need or should I consider third party software?
Just for the record this is a RCA unit advertised currently by ACE
Hardware for about $100.00 US.
