I have a Viewsonic E790 monitor and ever since I upgraded to Win XP I have
trouble viewing above 800x600. When moving to a higher resolution setting,
the screen becomes "enlarged" so that in order to see the entire screen I
have to move my mouse to either ends or top/bottom of the monitor to see the
edges of the screen. Could someone suggest what I need to do to get this
working like before?

Possibly XP doesn't have the correct video driver for your PC. I would look
at the web site of the PC or video card manufacturer for an XP compatible
driver and install that.

Go the web site of the manufacturer of your video card, and download and
install the latest driver for the card.
