Hi,
I saved a URL as a program short cut.
It uses the IE default icon.
How can change the IE icon to say a jpeg logo?
Thanks

You can't. You can only use icons or bitmaps as icons. (An icon is a =
collection of bitmaps of various sizes with transparancy bitmap as =
well). Unlike earlier Windows versions XP handles bitmaps as icons =
poorly (the transparent colour turns out black) - but pictures work as =
well as ever.
Use Paint to convert. Reduce the size so as to not waste memory.

I change mine all the time. I think he just wanted to
know where to find other icons, and XP, as well as other
programs have many. I didn't get into converting or
making your own icons, as I didn't see that in the post.

I'm so sorry, I guess the heat is getting to me (40 C.).
I reread the post and realized that thats what they were
wanting to know. You are correct, you must convert\save
as a .bmp or .ico

If you mean the icons actually associated with jpeg files, they're in
shimgvw.dll
