avi files playing in slow motion

My avi files encoded at 30 fps play in slow motion. The sound plays at normal
speed but the video is considerably slower. My other avi files encoded at 23
fps play fine though. I had BSplayer and Lazy Man's MKV installed, but I
uninstalled them and the video's still in slow motion. It's a week old comp
and this problem's really frustrating me. I'd appreciate any help.

Running an HP AMD Athlon 5200+ dual core, 1.8 ghz, 1 gig of ram, 256 megs of
video ram.

Well now that the files are corrupted.....Try downloading WM encoder 9 series,
run thru useing "convert audio/video"
