and everything still works for example if I were listening to music and
tried to run my tv tuner program (currently sage tv) the screen would
lock up but I would still be able to hear my music,I have tried many
other TV Tuner programs but the same problem occurs.. does anyone know

You must determine if the manufacturer of the tuner has Windows Vista 64 bit
drivers available.

Hey, I am running XP Pro x64, yes the tuner has 64 bit support, and
sage tv is 64bit compatible, and I have tried several other products
too.
