I am unable to wtach DVD's like the Da Vinci Code. I cannot access the files
using explorer. I'm told the files are currupt. However older DVD's play fine.
Is this due to copy protection.
The movies work fine in a stand alone dvd player.

Look for updated versions at www.gocyberlink.com (for PowerDVD) and
www.intervideo.com (for WinDVD).

I use a PC as my primary DVD player to a 42" high def monitor.
I recently played the Da Vinci Code and it played without
incident. My optical drives have auto-start disabled and I use
either VLC Media Player or Media Player Classic to play all
video files. I vaguely recall that this day-one, visually
pristine, rental from Netflix had 4 or five places where the
movie hesitated briefly during playback but it otherwise played
to completion and audience disappointment.
